Diary of Lonely Girl

I hate this time of year... and I love this time of year.
I hate the increasing feeling of loneliness that starts right after Thanksgiving and just grows and grows... usually until summer. This year I'm not only missing my only sibling, but my dear grandma. I also have no friends to talk to. The last 'friends' I had, kicked me out of their group last spring. And what do I know? I still don't get why, other than the fact that I was called immature. Which, yeah, I am. Just not the way you would think.
I don't know how to make friends. I never learned how. I do my best to be kind to everyone, but I am too shy to approach anyone, and it seems anyone who is willing to approach me more than once is the last kind of person I want to associate with.

It burns!

Sunburn.... oops. Went to the lake yesterday to celebrate Dad's birthday. We spent most of the day inside, but I still got burnt. But I did find out that, for me anyway, black tea (Earl Gray) works for soothing my sunburn. Nice.
Ada was exhausted, and today is as crabby as I am. This is going to be a long day. HOT, HUMID, no ac... just yuck. The house is not a bad temp in comparison to outside, but it's stale in here. Have 1 fan on me, don't want to waste creating more heat with more fans when it would generally be pointless.
The good news is, I should be getting an AC this week! Just in time for me to run around for the con.
Speaking of... a) I have a LOT of chainmail and b) It's still not nearly enough! Yeah I'm weird. Still working on inventory, should finish in an hour or so, if I'm not too distracted. Then onto a shawl for a mother of a friend who is not doing well. Just what I need, a lap full of yarn on a hot humid day!
On another note. I'm going to check out MLP: FiM partly cause I'm bored and partly for research. If I don't like it... back to documentaries it is!

Stinky!

Well Ada is certainly keeping my attention this week, even with VBS Monday through Wednesday. I think she has a hot spot on her neck... I still feel like a mean, moronic idiot about the whole thing in general. At least I think we're getting somewhere from where we were on Saturday night. The spot is scabbed over again and even without a sock on she seems to not be scratching at it too much, if at all.

Today's goals (short list due to exhaustion!)
Store spices / mix spices
Wash dishes!
empty wet/dry vac to try wet carpet cleaning method! (Cause Ada has made my house really stink... I'm kinda at a loss on how to start re-training her :( )

And finally... take inventory of chainmaille! yikes!

So.... yeah, wish me luck!


Edit: I managed to get one set of spice mixed, but then figured out I'm missing one for the other. Yuck
I did get the dishes done... and then made more messy ones!
It was a good attempt at something, but I think that it's just not my style, but it was a good idea for a starting block for something else that I might like!

High on the list for tomorrow.... chainmaille.

And the show must go on...

Crazy insane week ahead and I'm not sure how well I"m doing to begin with. Yikes. Goals for the week include surviving until Thursday, and figure out what I need to do to prep for a con. And I can't forget to change a dr appointment too.

So yeah, have a con coming up and I found out that I got into Anime Iowa as well. So all other plans are essentially trashed for the next two weeks, I should be ok with that. And after that... well I have to wait and see. I will either be going psycho getting ready for Iowa... or just generally feeling miserable... maybe... I don't know.

Someone I follow on Facebook is working on a quilt, and I am MEGA jealous of her progress. She's over half way done in two days! So now I want to dig out mine and work on it too. Or would if I could get anything done lately. ugh.

Also... I really, really, REALLY need to get my new receipes together and sorted. Some are just too yummy, and some... I need to remember not to make again...

2) Fairy plants for fairy gardens... I just can't resist. :)

I also want to start looking at new tattoos to get... seriously addicted to INK. :)

And another sign that I would be getting better: Socializing online without freaking out. One step at a time please!

Spinning, Spinning

I hate withdrawals.... I feel... disconnected. Twisted... like those weird photo effects on phones and stuff. And my head twists, and then back to normal, only to do something else. The odd sleep schedule of the night/day didn't help. But I was successful in all my tasks. Thank you Lord. I really appreciate that. I think even Ada (my dog) knows somethings up, but she hasn't learned what to do when I'm off like this. Only that she wants me to pay attention to her. I think it's her way of diverting my attention... though I am probably giving WAY too much thought into the actions of a 9 month old puppy. :) She's still a sweet heart for all of that. And a very good snuggler. Though the way the humidity is going... and the temps... I don't know if I"ll care for that in a few days :p
